Deadlines to register to vote in Nebraska’s statewide primary election on May 14 are fast approaching.
“Monday, April 29, 2024, is the deadline to register to vote using any method other than coming to the Election Commission office in person,” said Brian W. Kruse, Douglas County election commissioner. “If voters miss this deadline, they can still register in person at our office until 6 p.m., Friday, May 3, 2024.”
Mailed voter registrations must be postmarked by April 29. Registration at DMV offices, state agencies and Omaha Public Library locations must be completed by the office’s closing time. Registration forms being delivered to the election office by someone other than the registrant or accepted by an official deputy registrar must be turned in no later than April 29. And online registrations must be completed before midnight on April 29.
